WMPPD 2023

Dear Friends of Western MA Pagan Pride Day,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be back in downtown Northampton again this year. Our event will be on:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2023
10am-6pm

All of our fantastic vendors will be returning from 2022, as well as one or two new-to-us vendors. We’ll update the vendor page soon.

We are working now on confirmation of presenters for the day, and we’ll announce them on our Facebook page and in our group as we get their info up on our website.

Last year we raised an amazing $450 for the Northampton Survival Center, our charity of choice, and we look forward to breaking that figure this year.

Stay tuned here and on social media for updates!

What To Expect

Western MA Pagan Pride day is one of many Pagan Pride Day events that take place worldwide. As a nonprofit organization we strive to establish awareness of earth-centered spiritual traditions in our local communities. People of all faiths (or none) and walks of life are invited to join us on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 10:00 am through 6:00 pm.

There is no admission fee to the event, however we ask that you bring a cash donation for our charity drive. We will be collecting cash donations for our favorite charity, the Northampton Survival Center.

You can come expecting to find information about paganism in many of its forms, experience open harvest ritual, musical entertainment, workshops (classes) and many vendors for a fun, family friendly community-driven event. There are a number of restaurants and cafes in the area, so plan to come and stay a while!

Our Location

This year we will be in downtown Northampton, in the plaza at Kirkland Ave where the Tuesday Farmers Market takes place. This is between the Parking Garage and the back of Thorne’s Marketplace. There is ample short- and long-term parking in downtown Northampton. Note that the Armory St Parking Lot, which borders the site, is a 3-hour maximum lot. Metered parking in Northampton is done now by zones and plate numbers, so if you are planning to stay longer than 3 hours, you can’t just move your car to another spot in the same lot/zone and pay again. Extended, inexpensive lot parking is available around the corner on Hampton Ave., or you can park in the garage that overlooks our site; the cost is only .75/hour, and the first hour is always free.

Covid-19

We will follow all CDC, local, and state protocols that are in effect the day of the event.

Statement of Inclusivity

Western Mass Pagan Pride Day is an open and affirming event. We welcome all people of all beliefs or none, of all colors, genders and sexes, and expressions of sexuality, with open arms. You are welcome at WMPPD. We do not tolerate any form of prejudice or discrimination based on any of these factors. We affirm that every person has the right to be and identify in any way they choose.

Trans Inclusion Statement

We affirm that trans women are women, trans men are men; that there are scientifically and socially more than two sexes and genders; and that we are all equal and worthy of respect and dignity as human beings.

We will not support intolerance or prejudice toward others, especially based on the classes mentioned above.
